Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions apply when you use the Q TECH website, submit a service request, book an appliance repair service or receive service-related support from Q TECH.

A service request or booking does not by itself mean that the customer has approved every repair, spare part, additional work or related charge. Any paid work or charge requiring customer approval will be communicated before that work proceeds.

By proceeding with an agreed Q TECH service, the customer and Q TECH agree to follow the applicable service terms, approvals and conditions described on this page.

Appliance Repair Services

Q TECH provides doorstep appliance inspection, fault diagnosis, repair, servicing and related support for supported home appliances, subject to service availability, appliance condition and technician assessment.

A service request does not guarantee that every fault can be repaired. Repair requirements, feasibility, required parts and estimated costs are based on the appliance condition and faults that can reasonably be identified during inspection and service.

Hidden, intermittent, internal or additional faults may become identifiable during testing, dismantling or repair. If additional paid work or parts are required, the requirement and applicable cost will be explained and customer approval will be obtained before that additional work proceeds.

Where further testing or repair requires an appliance, PCB, component or part to be taken from the service location, this will be done with the customer's knowledge or approval. Q TECH will maintain an appropriate service record, and a relevant acknowledgement or service record can be provided to the customer on request.

Q TECH or the technician can refuse, pause or stop work where the appliance, electrical condition, service location or required access creates a material safety risk or prevents the service from being performed safely.

Booking & Service Requests

Customers should provide accurate contact details, service address, appliance information and a reasonable description of the reported issue when requesting a service.

  • Service appointments are subject to technician availability and serviceability of the location.
  • Q TECH may contact the customer to confirm the booking, service location, appliance details, reported issue and applicable visiting and inspection charge before arranging the service.
  • The customer should be available at the agreed service location and provide reasonable and safe access to the appliance.
  • Incorrect or incomplete information, customer unavailability or lack of reasonable access may delay, prevent or require rescheduling of the service.

Visiting & Inspection Charges

Q TECH visiting and inspection charges start from ₹299. The applicable charge depends on factors such as the appliance or service requirement, service location and travel distance.

Visiting & Inspection Charge: Starts from ₹299.

The applicable visiting and inspection charge will be communicated before the technician visit is arranged. The visit will proceed after the customer agrees to the communicated charge.

The agreed charge includes the technician visit and normal inspection or fault diagnosis associated with that visit. Repair, additional labour and spare parts are not included unless separately communicated and approved.

  • If the customer does not agree to the communicated charge, the technician visit will not be arranged.
  • A visiting charge will not become payable merely because the technician travelled toward or reached the surrounding service area where the technician cannot reach the customer's premises or begin the agreed visit because the customer cannot be contacted or access is unavailable.
  • Once the technician reaches the customer's premises and the agreed visiting or inspection service is provided or has begun, the agreed charge remains payable if the customer stops the inspection or decides not to proceed with the repair.
  • If the appliance is found to be not reasonably repairable after inspection, the agreed visiting and inspection charge remains payable for the service already provided.

Repair Estimate & Customer Approval

After inspection, the technician will explain the reasonably identified repair requirement and estimated cost before paid repair work proceeds.

  • Paid repair work will begin after the customer agrees to the proposed repair and applicable cost.
  • An estimate is based on the appliance condition and faults that can reasonably be identified at that stage. Hidden, intermittent, internal or additional faults may become identifiable during testing, dismantling or repair.
  • If an additional fault, spare part, labour or other paid work becomes necessary, the requirement and additional cost will be communicated and approved before that additional paid work proceeds.
  • If the customer does not approve additional work, Q TECH will not proceed with that unapproved work. Charges for the agreed service, approved work already performed, supplied or used parts and genuine non-recoverable costs remain payable where applicable.
  • Q TECH is not required to continue a repair where doing so without necessary additional work would be unsafe, incomplete or technically inappropriate.

Spare Parts & Fitting

Where a replacement part is required, Q TECH will communicate the relevant part requirement and applicable cost before supplying or fitting the part as part of an approved repair.

  • Depending on the appliance, repair requirement and availability, an appropriate genuine, manufacturer-supplied or compatible part may be used. Relevant part information will be communicated where applicable before customer approval.
  • Q TECH will not represent a compatible, reconditioned or used part as a new genuine manufacturer part. A new or unused compatible part suitable for an older appliance is not considered used merely because the appliance model or part design is older.
  • Any separate fitting, labour or installation charge will be communicated and approved before the related paid work proceeds.
  • If a customer supplies their own part, Q TECH is not responsible for that part's purchase price, inherent quality, compatibility, product defect, performance or product warranty. Q TECH remains responsible for the authorised fitting or workmanship actually performed by Q TECH.
  • A replaced part requested by the customer will be returned where reasonably available, unless it must be retained, exchanged or returned as part of an agreed supplier, manufacturer, replacement or warranty process.
  • If a specially arranged or ordered part cannot reasonably be cancelled or returned after customer approval, the actual non-recoverable cost may remain payable if the customer later cancels the service.

Payments

Customers are responsible for paying the applicable agreed charges for visiting and inspection services, approved repairs, labour, supplied parts and other approved costs actually provided or validly incurred in connection with the service.

  • Once an agreed service, repair or approved work has been properly provided, the legitimate applicable amount remains payable.
  • Q TECH will not charge for repair work that was not performed or a part that was not supplied, used or otherwise validly incurred for the approved service.
  • Additional paid repair, labour or parts requiring customer approval will not be added to the payable amount without that approval.
  • Relevant service, approval and payment records may be used to verify amounts paid or payable.
  • Duplicate payments, confirmed incorrect charges, overpayments or other amounts genuinely due back will be handled in accordance with the Q TECH Refund Policy.
  • If an agreed and properly provided service remains unpaid, Q TECH may use reasonable and lawful means to seek payment of the legitimate outstanding amount.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

A customer can cancel or request to reschedule a service before the agreed visiting or inspection service begins. No separate cancellation charge applies where no chargeable service, approved work, supplied part or genuine non-recoverable service-related cost has already been provided or incurred.

  • Once the technician reaches the customer's premises and the agreed visiting or inspection service is provided or has begun, the agreed visiting and inspection charge remains payable if the customer cancels or declines the repair.
  • If approved repair work has already begun, the customer remains responsible for approved work actually performed, labour already provided, parts already supplied or used and genuine non-recoverable costs connected with that work.
  • Cancellation does not create a charge for repair work that was not performed or for a part that was not supplied, used or otherwise validly incurred for the approved service.
  • Where Q TECH cancels or declines a service before any chargeable service, approved work, supplied part or other valid service-related cost has been provided or incurred, no charge will apply merely because Q TECH cancelled or declined the service.
  • A service may be refused, stopped or rescheduled where continuing would be unsafe or technically inappropriate, or where serious threatening or abusive conduct makes it unreasonable or unsafe to continue. Charges already legitimately applicable for service or approved work provided before that point remain payable, while work not performed will not be charged as though completed.
  • A new service request after cancellation will be subject to service availability and the charges applicable to that new service.

Warranty & Service Support

Where a warranty is provided for a particular repair, workmanship or spare part, its period and coverage will be the warranty communicated for that service or part.

  • Warranty applies only to the repair, workmanship or part covered by the applicable warranty and does not automatically cover every later appliance problem.
  • If a customer reports an issue that may relate to covered Q TECH work or a Q TECH-supplied part, Q TECH must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and verify the reported issue.
  • If the reported issue is verified as covered by the applicable warranty, Q TECH will provide an appropriate remedy according to the applicable warranty and the nature of the covered issue.
  • A repeat complaint does not by itself establish that the earlier diagnosis, repair, workmanship or supplied part was defective.
  • Where a Q TECH-supplied part is covered by a manufacturer or supplier warranty, the applicable warranty process and coverage may depend on the terms applicable to that part.
Warranty Support: Covered repeat issues will be reviewed according to the warranty applicable to the original repair, workmanship or part.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover a problem to the extent that the problem is caused by circumstances outside the covered Q TECH repair, workmanship or part.

  • Physical or accidental damage occurring after the service.
  • Misuse, improper handling or operation that causes or contributes to the reported problem.
  • Electrical supply, voltage fluctuation, power conditions or other external causes unrelated to the covered repair.
  • A new, additional or unrelated fault that was not part of the covered repair.
  • Third-party repair, alteration, modification or interference to the extent that it causes, affects or prevents reasonable verification of the covered issue.
  • Failure or performance problems caused by the inherent quality, defect or incompatibility of a customer-supplied part.

Third-party work or alteration does not automatically cancel unrelated warranty coverage. Its effect on a warranty claim will depend on whether it affected the covered repair, part, appliance condition or Q TECH's ability to reasonably verify the reported issue.

Q TECH may inspect the appliance and relevant repair area before confirming whether a reported issue is covered by the applicable warranty.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers should provide reasonable cooperation and accurate information so that the requested service can be arranged and performed safely and properly.

  • Provide accurate contact details, service address, appliance information and reported issue details.
  • Be available for the agreed visit and provide reasonable and safe access to the appliance and relevant service area.
  • Inform Q TECH or the technician about known previous repairs, alterations or relevant appliance conditions where that information may reasonably affect the service.
  • Review the communicated repair requirement, applicable charges and additional paid work before providing approval.
  • Pay agreed and applicable charges for services, approved work, labour and parts properly provided or validly incurred.
  • For a warranty-related complaint, contact Q TECH within the applicable warranty period and provide a reasonable opportunity to inspect the reported issue.

Other Important Terms

  • Service availability, technician scheduling, repair feasibility and spare-part availability depend on the appliance, location and actual service requirement.
  • Q TECH is responsible for the authorised service, workmanship and parts actually supplied by Q TECH in accordance with the applicable service terms. Responsibility for a reported loss, damage or fault will depend on the actual cause and circumstances and cannot be assigned to Q TECH merely because a service was previously performed on the appliance.
  • Relevant booking information, customer approvals, service records, technician findings, payment records, invoices, photographs or other reasonably relevant records may be considered when verifying a service, complaint, warranty, payment question or dispute.
  • Refunds and payment adjustments will be handled according to the applicable service circumstances and the Q TECH Refund Policy.
  • Personal information used in connection with bookings, service and support will be handled in accordance with the Q TECH Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.
  • Q TECH may update these Terms & Conditions when services, processes, legal requirements or business requirements change. Updated terms will apply from the effective or updated date stated on the published version and will not retrospectively remove rights or obligations that had already arisen under an earlier applicable service arrangement.
  • Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, limits or removes any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
