Scope & Fair Application

This Refund Policy applies to eligible payments and refund-related matters connected with Q TECH appliance repair, inspection, servicing, labour, spare parts and related service support.

  • Refund eligibility and the refundable amount are determined from the verified service provided, work completed, parts supplied or committed, customer approvals, payments, applicable warranty terms and other relevant circumstances.
  • Properly performed services, completed authorised work, applicable visiting or inspection services, supplied or fitted parts and genuine non-recoverable costs are not refundable merely because the customer changes their decision, is dissatisfied or later requests a cash refund.
  • A complaint, disagreement or refund demand does not by itself create refund eligibility. Q TECH will first verify the relevant service, payment, work, parts and available records.
  • If verification confirms a duplicate or incorrect charge, payment for a service or item not provided, or another amount legitimately due back to the customer, Q TECH will process the eligible amount in accordance with this policy.
  • Q TECH will not charge a customer for work represented as completed where that work was not actually performed. This does not remove charges for separate inspection, authorised labour, supplied parts or other legitimate services and costs already incurred.
  • Situations not specifically described in this policy will be determined from the available service records, customer approvals, work performed, parts involved, payment details, applicable warranty, verified circumstances and applicable consumer rights.
Important: This policy protects legitimate customer refund rights while also recognising services already provided, authorised work completed, parts supplied and genuine costs incurred by Q TECH.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

A customer can cancel or request rescheduling before the technician reaches the service location. Charges depend on whether Q TECH has already provided a service or incurred an approved or non-recoverable cost.

  • If the technician has not reached the service location and no service, authorised work or genuine non-recoverable cost has been incurred, no separate cancellation charge will apply.
  • A rescheduling request made before technician arrival will not carry a separate rescheduling charge. The new appointment will be subject to technician and service availability.
  • If an advance payment has been received, Q TECH will refund the eligible balance after deducting any customer-approved service, authorised work, specially arranged or supplied part and genuine non-recoverable cost already incurred or committed.
  • Once the technician reaches the correct service location and the applicable visit or inspection service is provided, the applicable visiting or inspection charge will remain payable even if the customer cancels or declines the repair.
  • If the technician reaches the correct service location but the customer is unavailable, has provided incorrect service details or does not provide reasonable access to the appliance, the applicable visit-related charge will remain payable.
  • Cancellation does not cancel charges for authorised work already completed, parts already supplied or fitted, or genuine non-recoverable costs incurred with customer approval.

Visiting, Inspection & Diagnosis

Visiting, inspection and diagnosis are service activities performed to assess the appliance and identify the repair requirement. Applicable visiting or inspection charges are separate from later repair, labour or spare-part charges unless Q TECH expressly includes them in the approved service price.

  • Once the technician reaches the service location and provides the applicable visit or inspection service, the related charge is non-refundable because that service has already been performed.
  • The applicable visiting or inspection charge remains payable if the customer declines the repair after inspection or if inspection shows that the appliance cannot reasonably be repaired.
  • A repair estimate is based on the appliance condition and faults reasonably identifiable during the inspection. Hidden, intermittent, internal or additional faults can become apparent during further testing, dismantling or repair.
  • Discovery of a hidden, different or additional fault does not by itself establish that the original diagnosis was incorrect and does not make the additional repair free of charge.
  • If additional paid work or a different repair is required, Q TECH will explain the requirement and applicable additional cost and obtain customer approval before carrying out that extra paid work.
  • If a previously repaired complaint returns, Q TECH will be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and verify whether the problem relates to the earlier repair, a different or additional fault, misuse, electrical or external conditions, or another cause.
  • A repeat complaint does not by itself establish that the previous diagnosis or repair was incorrect. Responsibility will be determined from the verified cause and the work previously performed.
  • If verification confirms that Q TECH's initial diagnosis or service was materially incorrect or incomplete and this directly caused an improper charge or genuine financial loss relating to that service, Q TECH will provide the appropriate corrective service or adjustment. Any amount confirmed as legitimately refundable will be processed under this policy.
Please Note: An additional or later fault does not automatically make the earlier service incorrect, create a right to free additional repair or require a refund. The actual fault, earlier work and relevant service records will first be verified.

Repair, Labour & Spare Parts

Repair, labour and spare-part charges are based on the work actually performed, parts supplied and costs approved by the customer. Any additional paid work or parts will be explained and approved before proceeding.

  • Properly completed and customer-approved repair or labour is not refundable merely because the customer later changes their decision or no longer wishes to keep the repaired appliance.
  • If an approved repair cannot be completed successfully, Q TECH will not charge unperformed work as a completed repair. Applicable inspection, authorised labour, testing, work already performed, parts already used or fitted and genuine non-recoverable costs will be accounted for separately.
  • If the customer stops or withdraws approval after authorised work has started, charges for work already performed, parts already fitted or used and genuine non-recoverable costs remain payable. Work not performed will not be charged as completed work.
  • Spare parts supplied and fitted as part of an approved repair are not refundable because of a later change of mind. A verified defective part covered by warranty will be handled through the applicable warranty process.
  • A specially ordered, purchased or arranged part approved by the customer is refundable only to the extent that Q TECH can recover the related cost, subject to the condition of the part, return eligibility and applicable supplier terms.
  • Q TECH will accurately represent the condition and description of parts it supplies. A new or unused compatible part intended for an older appliance or older model is not considered used, second-hand or reconditioned merely because its model generation or design is older.
  • If the customer supplies their own spare part, Q TECH is not responsible for that part's purchase price, quality, compatibility, performance or product warranty. Q TECH remains responsible only for its authorised fitting or workmanship to the extent applicable to the work actually performed.
  • A new, hidden or additional fault discovered during testing, dismantling or repair is not automatically included in the original approved repair price. Q TECH will explain the additional requirement and obtain customer approval before carrying out any additional paid work.

Warranty & Repeat Service

A repeat complaint or warranty claim does not automatically create a right to a cash refund. Q TECH must first be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the appliance, verify the cause and provide the applicable warranty remedy.

  • If verification confirms that the repeat problem is connected with Q TECH's earlier covered repair, workmanship or covered spare part, the applicable warranty support will be provided through re-inspection, corrective service, repair, replacement or another appropriate remedy.
  • If verification confirms a different, additional or unrelated fault that was not part of the earlier approved repair, that repair is not included free of charge under the earlier service. Q TECH will explain the new work and applicable cost before carrying out additional paid work.
  • Obtaining a second opinion or inspection from another technician does not by itself cancel an otherwise applicable Q TECH warranty.
  • If another person or technician repairs, replaces, modifies, rewires, alters, dismantles or damages the appliance or a Q TECH-supplied part, Q TECH will verify the condition and effect of that intervention before deciding responsibility for the affected warranty or refund claim.
  • Q TECH is not responsible under its repair warranty for a fault or damage caused by third-party work, misuse, accidental damage, improper handling, electrical or voltage conditions, external causes or other circumstances unrelated to Q TECH's covered repair or workmanship.
  • Where third-party intervention or subsequent damage prevents reliable verification of Q TECH's earlier work or the original fault, the affected warranty or refund claim will be decided from the evidence that can reasonably be verified.
  • If a Q TECH-supplied part is verified as defective and remains covered by the applicable warranty, Q TECH will first provide the applicable warranty remedy, including repair or replacement where appropriate. A cash refund is not automatic.
  • If a valid covered issue cannot reasonably be resolved after Q TECH has been given an appropriate opportunity to inspect and provide the applicable corrective remedy, any amount legitimately due back will be determined under the Refund Eligibility section of this policy and applicable consumer rights.
Please Note: Warranty applies only to the covered repair, workmanship or spare part. It does not make a new, additional, unrelated or externally caused appliance fault part of the earlier service.

Refund Eligibility

A refund or adjustment applies only when verification confirms that an amount is genuinely due back to the customer after accounting for valid service, authorised work, labour, supplied or fitted parts and genuine non-recoverable costs.

Refund eligibility includes verified situations such as:

  • A duplicate payment or verified accidental overpayment. Only the excess amount will be refundable.
  • Payment for a service, repair, part or charge that Q TECH did not provide, perform, supply or otherwise legitimately incur.
  • A refundable advance where no applicable service, authorised work, supplied or specially committed part or genuine non-recoverable cost has been incurred.
  • An incorrect charge or payment amount confirmed through the available Q TECH service and payment records.
  • A verified material error by Q TECH in diagnosis, service or repair that directly resulted in an amount being improperly charged to the customer. After accounting for valid work, parts and services actually provided, the amount genuinely due back will be refunded or appropriately adjusted.
  • A valid covered repair or spare-part issue that remains unresolved after Q TECH has been given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and provide the applicable corrective service, repair or replacement, where verification establishes that an amount is legitimately refundable.
  • Any other verified circumstance where the service records, customer approvals, payments, work performed, parts supplied and applicable rights establish that an amount is genuinely due back to the customer.
Important: A complaint, disagreement, refund demand or change of mind does not by itself create refund eligibility. Only the amount established as legitimately refundable after verification will be refunded.

Refund Request & Processing

Customers requesting a refund must contact Q TECH and provide the information reasonably required to verify the service, payment, work performed and basis of the refund request. No refund will be approved until the relevant facts have been reviewed and eligibility has been confirmed.

Q TECH may require the following information for verification:

  • Customer name and contact number used for the service.
  • Booking, service, appliance or repair details available for the relevant service.
  • Payment proof, transaction reference, invoice or other relevant payment information where applicable.
  • A clear explanation of the refund request and any relevant information needed to verify the service history and circumstances.

Q TECH will review the request using available service records, technician findings, customer approvals, payment details, work completed, parts supplied, applicable warranty terms and other relevant verified information.

  • Q TECH may contact the customer, technician or other relevant service personnel where clarification is required to complete the verification.
  • Where inspection of the appliance, repair or spare part is reasonably required to determine responsibility, Q TECH must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect it before the refund decision is completed.
  • While a refund claim or service dispute is under review, the customer should preserve relevant parts, invoices, payment records and the available condition of the appliance or repair where those items are required for verification.
  • If relevant parts, evidence or appliance condition have been altered, removed, disposed of or materially changed before Q TECH is given a reasonable opportunity to verify the claim, the refund decision will be based only on the evidence that can reliably be verified.
  • Approval of a refund will be limited to the amount established as legitimately refundable after accounting for valid service, authorised work, labour, supplied or fitted parts and genuine non-recoverable costs.
  • Once a refund is approved, Q TECH will initiate the approved refund within 5–7 business days.
  • The approved refund will be issued through an appropriate available payment method, including UPI or bank transfer where applicable, according to the payment and transaction circumstances.
  • After Q TECH has initiated the approved refund, additional processing time caused by a bank or payment provider is outside Q TECH's direct control.
Please Note: A complaint, disagreement, refund request or demand does not by itself create refund eligibility. Eligibility and the refundable amount are determined from verified service records, payments, customer approvals, work performed, parts involved, applicable warranty terms and relevant circumstances. Only the amount established as legitimately refundable will be refunded. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
